Re: Friday Night Football Has It Worked?

as far as crowds are concerned you can never say for certain what has affected crowds positively or negatively, but in our case we saw larger numbers of away fans last season than we will this because of the name and the 'never been there before' factor. It's not just us but the same with most grounds. When we have a larger away end, covered, seats, a proper bar, a proper canteen or two, proper parking, better toilets, a more visitable town etc etc we will never see large numbers repeatedly coming back, just the hardcore.

Home fans will start to come back slowly and the job is trying to keep em here. The roof will play a large part in that as will the added atmosphere that that brings. The 'bar' will also play some part in that as well. As tinpot as it might be it is still an alcohol outlet and that will retain a few every week that see drink as an integral part of football, which it is.

Hopefully the football will also help to bring in the crowds, we lost dismally against Wrexham but the crowd was only slightly down against Macc even though they brought less fans. So surely, after a home defeat, the next game home fans were up?

Things are on the rise people, just be glad we were there first!
