Re: aleks avatar..(swastika)
I read something recently that said that a huge majority of the country could want to change the law in some way, i.e to stop people using nazi symbolism as the clearest example, but if it was implemented then would that really mean we are living in a democracy, simple because thats what the majority want?
Aleks should have the right to have the swastika as his avatar, because as more than one person has already pointed out, its not even a Nazi swastika, so nobody should still be complaining about it when its a religious symbol and not one of race hate or condoning what the germans did.
And we live in UK, where people are from all over the place and believe in allsorts of things, that can be seen as wrong or right, and as much as people dont like it, some people do actually condone what the nazis did, just as some people once condoned rape in marriage, some of you might have condoned drugs when u where younger, some might not condone some religions and their traditions, some religious people might not condone homosexuality and abortion and so on, but I was always taught that even if you dont agree with someones beliefs, you shouldnt impose you own on them and if someone wants to have a symbol in their avatar then why should he being slated for that?
Some people show great patriotism on this forum and talk about how worse off we would be if we were under germanys ruling or whoever, yet not many people seem to stand true to the constitution we have in this country that we have fought for.
