ASDA...........we made our last trip there this week........over the past six months standards have certainly gone downhill, recently we have been back and forth with out of date products we have bought, some a couple of days , others a week or so, when we complained nobody really seems to do anything, i have been emailing head office with all my complaints as instore complaining does`nt seem to have any effect, 2 week ago whilst shopping we dumped 6 bags of out of date salad on the customer services desk, this week after i`d returned mozerella cheese that had disintegrated in the bag we ended up dumping 3 tubs of week out of date soft cheese with the customer services and them left my whole trolley with them and we went off to tesco. this really is not good enough, tortilla wraps, various cheeses, naan breads, bread, potatoes, quorn escolopes, salad, houmous.......the list goes on of things we have returned or just thrown away. we were promised from head office that it would be looked into and the store customer service manager would be in contact with us personally, that was 4 weeks ago!!!!! not good enough, we were even thinkin of contacting the observer about this, when we wre instore we spent more time looking at the dates on products that we did shopping!!!
is unbelievable how much of our money we spent per month in asda not just on food items but clothes,dvd`s, cds etc but not anymore, off to tesco we go......roll on tesco accrington i say

I’m not a cheerleader for any of the supermarkets but why have you been buying out of date products in the first place. The sell by dates are clear enough on most items. Don’t you look to see BEFORE you put the item in your trolley/basket? I appreciate that in haste it is possible to grab the wrong item once. But twice is downright careless and three times is simply stupid.

Caveat Emptor is a phrase that applies to goods from a supermarket/shop as well as when buying a house or a second hand car.
