I would advise everyone who lives in the area to be extra vigilant, and make sure all windows and doors are locked.

I came home tonight after work to find my back yard gate wide open, and our newly built shed had been forced, probably with a crow bar. The lock was still intact, but the fixings were in pieces. There is only a spare set of alloy wheels and tyres in there, which luckily, have not been taken.

I reported the incident to the police at 6:30pm, and I had a visit from two officers by 8:00pm. I know there is nothing that they can do, but at least they are aware of what has happened, and can possibly put extra patrols on.

I mentioned the gypsy's and the officers told me they should be gone by Friday. If they don't move on, they will have their caravans confiscated.

I'm off to lug the wheels into the house now, Wingy is furious enough without them coming back tomorrow to finish the job!
