It's a war fought for no really good reason ... unless there are still some who believe in the "weopons of mass destruction" BS. In the Cowboy metality, there are the guys with the white hats and the guys with the black hats. Saddam was a bad guy. There are complications of course, Ghadaffi had a black hat, now he has a pale grey one. It is not so much stealing the oil, as guaranteeing the flow of that oil to the "right" markets, at fair market value. And we all know who needs the oil and its continued unfettered availability. The cure for oil depravation does have unfortunate side effects. Terrorism comes to mind. And the unneccesary deaths of young men and women in the armed forces. Thank god that Prime Minister Chretien refused to join Bush in the Iraqi fiasco. It's bad enough for us that Canadians are dying in significant numbers in the side show in Afghanistan. Another two last saturday.
The two major prioities: Support the troops. Work, as voters and members of democratic nations, to end the conflict.
