I was watching a 50s moveie last nite ... I think the title was "It Came from Planet X." But the bong had gone round a few times and I may be mistaken. But, and this finally is the point, I remember seeing the show at a movie theatre in Clayton, just by the bridge over the cut, near the Conservative club. What was the name of this palace of entertainment? And I think it had a nickname too, not the "laugh and scratch" which was near the old Load of Mischief (Saturday movies for threepence) but something else.

It's sad, but the memory is the second thing to go
