Re: How to keep a plastercast dry in the shower?

I broke my leg doing something silly, and Jae swift laughed at me and all my friends and left me to walk home by myself because they didnt believe I had really hurt myself, even though I had busted my nose open with my other knee (yes I fell awkwardly).

I lived in accrington at the time, I was 13, and it was around 12pm when I broke my leg. It took me til 9pm that night to get home because I was too stubborn to ring an ambulance, and I didnt actually go til the day after because I was just so exhausted from the walk, bearing in mind I never actually got as far as accrington, a friends mum saw me near st marys school area and offered to give me a lift the rest of the way.

Anyway the point is, its lovely that your son has a friend who was willing to walk home with him and it'd probably be nice to reward him in some way for doing that. Obviously he wouldn't have had the same agony as walking home on a broken leg (lol) but he could've past out in the road or anything.

We only have a bath, no shower in our house, so it was quite simply for me to just hang my leg over the bath, was quite relaxing lol. Also, the school saying it was rough horseplay is to cover the students back and trying to prevent you suing him, and you wouldn't successfully sue him, but the school probably wouldnt look too favourable by failing to notice a fracture, and they should've at least alerted you.
