In the year of our Gracious Lord, Nineteen Hundred and Sixty Two the evil Herod (Lord) a miser of the land of Turds plucked the brightest star from the sky above Lancashire and the land called the Holy of Holly’s (Peel Park) sank from the hearts of the true men of Lancashire.

But our Gracious Lord relit that distent Star and gave the men of Lancashire a new land of Promise and in his wisdom he called this Promised Land the Crown Ground. And forever more he cried aloud this is Holy Ground and will be forever more be the land of true men…
