In no sense whatsoever was the monarchy elected Eric. She retains her outdated position not with the consent of the people but because the people do not have a means of kicking her out short of using force. There are fewer pro royals than there are anti and couldn’t give a Tinker’s cuss royals.

I have nothing against her personally, my beef is against the institution and what it represents. I am a citizen of the UK (England) not a subject of the monarchy.
