I hope that you were furious derekgas – with yourself and others for not offering practical help.
I am thoroughly disgusted with the attitude of some people. “She’s a stranger, I haven’t got room, I have kids too”. It’s all me, me, me, me, me, me, me! Where is your compassion for someone in dire need?
So you haven’t got a spare bedroom. Would it be so inconvenient to offer your couch for tonight? Oh! I forgot that would interfere with your home life. Well let it interfere. It’s only for a day or two.
You lot are the pits!!!

I am satisfied that emma (and her little boy) will not be on the street jb, and mainly because the offers of a couch, or a bed etc were not made in public, but in private, you as usual jb, jumped the gun, and had a go at people when there was very little to have a go about, you were wrong, not I or anyone else, we all know, you could never admit that, but would much rather try and excuse your own actions by ridiculing everybody else. And you 'lot' are the 'pits' is a bit of a generalisation, I will not be the only one to resent that, now if you are so concerned about people who DO NOT have a roof over there head, there is plenty of people in the subways, cardboard boxes, park benches etc around the country who MIGHT like to live with you, but don't be too sure that ANYBODY would be that desperate, god forbid that anyone should be so desperate.
