I think this great news and it emphasises Ian's commitment to our cause and the club's ambitions. However, like many others I feel to re-iterate the club's ambition, the club should put the fans in the picture regarding Mullin's future and do everything pheasably possible to make sure Paul remains a Stanley player.
IF this means the club has to release players such as Branch and Miles to release wage funds to accomodate rises for Craney and Mullin then the club,Ala Eric and Coley, have to grasp the nettle now and get rid (i.e. release) of such players (Branch & Miles) before we may lose our best striker who has scored so many vital goals in his time with us. The club has to realise that finding players of Paul's calibre is no mean feat and gambling by "cashing in" on Mullin's obvious value could, like many others have said, jeopardise our future.
Money may talk in this instance, but surely it's better to pay a little bit more to someone who we know can do the business, than to gamble on somebody fresh (i.e a replacement for Mullin)
