I was wondering how many other people out there suffer from food allergies/intolerances?
My list seems to be growing every year - it started with salmon as a child, developing to shellfish and over the last 7 years all other fish too, (can't even put my hand in the tropical tank without getting a rash!). More recently I've developed reactions to fresh Pineapple, anything with Aspartame in (artificial sweetener in fizzy drinks, cordials etc) & all anti-inflammatory medications.
The newest one is any product which has E numbers 249-252 in, they are preservatives sodium & potassium nitrate & nitrite used mainly in pork products such as bacon, sausage, pate, cooked meat & even tins of corned beef. After doing some reading I found that these chemicals are also used in fertilisers & explosives, are potentially cancer causing and are banned from being used in baby or infant foods. I know there was a warning not to long ago about bacon & cancer and a thread to match

it seems it may not be the bacon but the additives instead?
Has anyone else experienced anything similar or is it just me

? It's taking me ages now to do the grocery shopping as I have to read every label!

At this rate I'll end up boycotting the supermarkets and only buy fresh stuff!
