He hasn't paid it yet; it stated on the penalty notice that the fine would be increased by £75 if not paid in 10 days. ( I didn't see that bit, maybe it is fixed at £75 and you get away with £50 if you pay up early; he tried to explain that bit to me and as you can tell from his predicament he isn't the sharpest tool in the box !
