I was chatting about this to a Muslim and a Sheikh on Saturday. Both of them said that it was ridiculous that someone would get offended (or think that anyone could get offended because a pig was in the story. This is what the Muslim said, 'if you waved a bacon butty in my face then yes, i might take it as an insult, but if you tell an age old, traditional, story that has a farmyard animal as it's central figure then what right have i to object or be offended?'
I honestly don't think that it's Muslims or Sheikhs or any other representatives from ethnic religions that are demanding/requesting that these restrictions/bans are made. We all agreed that it was probably a load of do gooders who were doing more harm than good.
