This is really bad.IMO Neil is right about the history being taught is mostly ancient history, and i think parents should step in a little bit too-nothing wrong in us looking up things to teach our children.Jack will certainly be taught a little at home by me,my partner and his dad who is becoming a secondary school teacher in September.
I knew Charles Dickens was real and not fiction when i was younger because my Grandfather took me to the Dickens centre in Rochester (Dickens lived in Kent as a boy),and he also took me to the house Dickens visited where he wrote most of Pickwick papers.......Jack will also be visiting these places,along with many other museums and gallerys to learn things-even if he doesn't WANT to learn,the oppurtunity will be there for him.
