Strictly speaking, using those pre-prepared mixtures is missing the point.
You are supposed to be using up your eggs, flour, oil etc in readiness for Lent as you will not be eating anything like that for a while. You shouldn't be having to buy things in in order to make pancakes.
Does anyone on here make pancakes for the original reason and give up cakes etc for Lent?
