Re: Postponed Brentford game

Don't think there will be any action taken, more than likely the football league will tell Stanley to be a bit more cautious when the opposition team have a long way to travel.

The Football League have agreed that Brentford's controversial late postponement of their clash at Accrington last month should have been avoided.
Bees boss Andy Scott had labelled Stanley's actions as a "farce" after an estimated 900 fans travelled to the match, which was called off 90 minutes before kick-off due to a waterlogged pitch after being given the go-ahead by a Football League official at 10am.
Chief executive David Heath complained to the Football League and has received a sympathetic response.
A statement on Brentford's official website said that the response stated: "No referee likes to postpone a game at a late stage and we are extremely sorry for the inconvenience caused to travelling supporters.
"I think this was a case where the match referee should have been called in overnight."
