There is no such thing as common sense ... there never was, and there never will be. All common sense is, is the conviction that one's own beliefs are the right ones. It is interesting that common sense always looks to the past, as if there was some golden age back "then". I loved the 60s, and even the summer holidays of the 50s, but I don't see them as the Age of Aquarius, or whatever. Common sense is nothing more than the slogan of those who put forward simplistic solutions to complex and ever changing problems.
