I think that all councillors should refrain from making personal remarks and insults and concentrate on the matters in hand but I won't hold my breath for that one.

I did not witness this particular discussion but did witness unpleasant behaviour at the count for last year's elections.

At the time I was shocked but the more I read and hear, the more I have come to see that this is just the way it is for a lot of people in the political world. It shouldn't be though. It is very unpleasant.

I don't think that Peter Britcliffe should resign. As has been said, if all councillors guilty of calling others names were to resign there'd be no councillors left!

As has been said, if all councillors guilty of calling others names were to resign there'd be no councillors left! __________________ Old aunts used to come up to me at weddings, poking me in the ribs, cackling and telling me 'You'll be next.' They stopped when I started doing the same to them at funerals.
