Driving down Union Road today I spotted a sign in the window of Celebrations card shop saying 'Closing Down Sale'.

I love that shop and get all my cards from there. I will really miss it. The cards they sell are lovely and different to the ones elsewhere and the owner is such a lovely chap to deal with. I will really miss it.

Does anyone know why it is closing? Is it the usual 'you can get it cheaper at the supermarket' situation?

I suppose there'll be a few more small shops closing if/when Tesco come in. What a shame.

What a shame. __________________ Old aunts used to come up to me at weddings, poking me in the ribs, cackling and telling me 'You'll be next.' They stopped when I started doing the same to them at funerals.
