I don't think the understand terms like reliability, mean time before breakdown, uptime, time since last production lost and the many other terms that we in the business of keeping our machines running and producing product out the door on time use.
The machines in a bowling ally are simple, don't try and convince us otherwise. I have worked on everything from light switches to machines with robotic arms replacing men and all sorts in between costing millions of pounds. When people report that a lane breaks down several times in the 1 hour they used it then, that is down to poor preventative maintenance programs and even worse reactive breakdown maintenance.
No doubt you will come back and tell me how difficult it is to pick up a few pins and stand them up again. It must be really complex equipment that sends the ball back to the players as well
