Well, you see its quite simple really - some people may consider them to be largely the same, the fact is there is a big difference. You see, a ring road is a road that you drive along that goes round something, in a roundabout sort of fashion. This should not be confused with a roundabout which is a road that you go round which serves only to take you round something whilst a ring road is a road that is designed for you to go round in order to perhaps get round something.
