I read that prescription charges could be abolished within the next 4 years in Scotland too.....there will only be us daft beggars paying the damn things in a bit.

I watched a programme a couple of weeks ago where they spoke to people in Berwick-upon-Tweed which England's most northerly town. They were having a mock referendum to see if people would like Berwick to remain classed as England or would they like to become part of Scotland.

They voted to become part of Scotland as they felt people were treated better. I didn't know this before but in Scotland the elderly don't pay for carers to come in, it's free. Also there are no university tuition fees there. There were a couple of other points but I can't remember what they were.

Sorry Jaysay, bit of a wander from hospital car parking in Wales but in a way it is relevant. We in England do seem to get a rough deal in all this.
