I watched a programme a couple of weeks ago where they spoke to people in Berwick-upon-Tweed which England's most northerly town. They were having a mock referendum to see if people would like Berwick to remain classed as England or would they like to become part of Scotland.

They voted to become part of Scotland as they felt people were treated better. I didn't know this before but in Scotland the elderly don't pay for carers to come in, it's free. Also there are no university tuition fees there. There were a couple of other points but I can't remember what they were.

Sorry Jaysay, bit of a wander from hospital car parking in Wales but in a way it is relevant. We in England do seem to get a rough deal in all this.
Well, we in England have a scottish prime minister, who sanctions rules that don't effect the people who eleted him, we have all Scotish and Welsh MPs who are allowed to have a say on what effects use yet don't effect the people who elect them either. Now if the honerable member for Hyndburn and the Leader of the Labour Group on HBC would like to join in this thread and explain to use mere mortals why we in England are treated in this way, feel free to do so, I am not holding my breath
