That's all very well and good saying that but there is simply no way into the industry nowadays for someone with no experience straight out of college/school, of course the best people for the job don't tend to have degrees, that's because the best people for the job are those with experience and are therefore older and were around when it was possible to get in without the formal qualifications.
And as to the degrees being handed out left right and centre argument that is definitely true, it isn't the degree any more it's where you got it from, a degree that isn't from a Russel group is hardly worth the paper it's written on.
