Darby had an excellent description and the Factory was originally Broad Oak Mill and later referred to as "New Mill" and is located behind the site of the old Baths in St James St. Or as Darby said at the end of Wellington St ( Cotton St End). Have found this piccy taken after Chimney was Demolished and showing at the right Tom Hodgson`s Toffee Works. Janet mentioned Higham`s Chimney -- but that is to the right of the railway line as it climbs up Baxenden Bank.
