Another crackpot idea from a crackpot council and the Roy Castle charity.
I voted no but it is a qualified no. Meaning that if the film is about modern times where smoking in enclosed public spaces has been banned then the film should reflect this.
However re-classifying films made before the smoking ban came into force or about a period where smoking was not banned because an actor happens to be smoking is censorship gone mad. Bogey wouldn’t be Bogey without a fag in his mouth. Neither would Lauren Bacall.
