My mum didnt go out to work - well she worked in the mills before the kids came along and still worked until the 3rd one came, doing the housewifes shift. Then she gave up work. But it was drilled into us that we had to go out to work and earn our money. In fact i got a paper round and dad stopped giving me spending money - i was earning my own money!!! I thought i was going to be rich - i'd have my £2 spending money and £2 from doing the papers - he said right you are earning your own money now you dont need spending money! But this is unbelievable. The grandmother said she wanted to be like her mother - well times have changed and surely if shes depending on the state and has brought her kids up to depend on the state, and then they've brought their kids up its ok if you dont like the job its ok theres always job seekers....
