HP are stopping building pcs and notebooks with xp approx August this year. they were meant to stop 12 months ago, but couldnt. However, they are currntly building machines that ship with vista, can be downgraded (legally) to xp and the upgraded again to vista when you'r ready (all licensing is sorted with Microsoft so this incurs no extra charge)
