Most consignees in businesss will not check the contents whilst the driver waits .. the only thing they are expected to do is to sign for the number of cartons/parcels and if a shortage will make a note of that.

Have always to rely on the honesty of customers after that, and seems like the Supermarkets are very good with this .. as would be too difficult to prove otherwise.

Sometimes .. weight of consignment can be an indication .. but not foolproof.

Agree though that the driver could have been a little more civil to you Entwisi.

Can be rotten for some 'carrier' drivers though .. they sometimes have to take the flack for late deliveries from companies when nothing to do with them at all.
