Must admit Lindsay, I have noticed a lot more of ... what we used to call 'scruffy' people around town these days .. shouting and yelling at their kids. Can't really understand why. Clothes they walk around in, I wouldn't put in a dog's basket to line it. Not just the style, etc., but badly stained, etc. Yuk.
Then there seems to be the other end of the scale, with mothers smartly dressed and children with polished faces in pretty outfits. Is the gap widening in our social classes I wonder ? However, no excuse for not buying a bar of soap, is there? Most people have bathrooms these days.
Just wondered how many people use soap now; I do keep some on the sink upstairs, but only used for washing hands after going to the loo. I have never used any for washing bodily parts for years now. Think probably to do with showers and use of the gels (unperfumed Margaret

) .. much better. Even if you have a bath, the bath bubbly is better. Put soap in that and it kills all the bubbles. Never seen scum for years.
