When I was a child in the 1980s I won a Pound Puppy (remember those
) in a Junior League competition in the Observer.
A couple of weeks later I entered another Junior League competition in the Observer and won a Paul Daniels magic set.
I haven't won anything since.
The Pound Puppy is still around though. My son has it in his room now.
