most companies make you wear a uniform to protect yourself, in nursing homes we had to wear them for obvious reasons and to save our own clothes, they also make you and the company look smart, make you look like you 'belong' too, i'm sure they wouldnt want you coming in in tatty looking clothes, its just the same for school uniforms too
