What I would do is( as someone already said ) Avertise it. If someone has lost a large amount of money the first thing for them to do is trace thier steps Therefor I would tell local shops etc that I have found it and leave contact details..

My son lost his wallet last year . We went to the bookies to put a bet on the National and he left it on the side in the bookie. Hell I though that was def the last he had seen of iot . But nope someone had handed it in. I were gobsmacked but relieved for him..
