Ah, just read in the Observer what Pam is on about:-

'A plastic money bag containg £1,000 was dropped in Tremellen Street, Accrington, by an Accrington businessman.
The man believes the bundle of cash dropped out of a folder he was carrying as he was walking along the street at around 3.30 p.m on Tuesday.
Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact PC Mick Dewhurst at Accrington Police Station on 353749'

Looks like someone may have pocketed it !
