When we sold our last house I counted up all the loose change that we had kept in various places. I took it to as Asda where they have one of those machines which counts it up for you. This was easier for me than counting it up myself, bagging it and taking it to a bank. OK, you pay a percentage to the company but I still thought it reasonable value especially as I ended up changing over £200 worth of coins.

I must admit that I have become a bit of an obsessive over loose change now and try to make sure that we get rid of it before it builds up to much.
