I had an idea once to pinpoint pick pockets after I was done on holiday. sew a plastic linner in the pockets of a large outdoor type coat and stitch an empty wallet to the inside of the pocket then fill the pocket with industrial dyethe dry powder type (bright green would be good) and pop of to your local crowded high street. the first few tea leaves should be easy enough to spot before they get the word out to all their scumbag mates.
