Beechy: Well, I don't go in the pubs in Clayton on my own, they would wonder what I was up to, and would look very sad ...
Have gone in loads of restaurants, pubs on my own whilst travelling about the country, (usually for a meal though) and never bothered me, but 'round here' people still seem to frown on this.
