Ron and Isabel were the licencees when I started going in back in the sixties, sadly Isabel died not to long ago, she was living in Merlin Court, its lways been my local or the place I used to to frequent every night 7 nights a week. Used to drink with Rindis' Mother and Dad, but can't remember him coming in, Worked behind the bar occasionally when Jim and Barbara had it, and did all the outside bars for a while, in fact I oncelooked after the pub whilst they went away for a few days, thats when I desided that y place was firmly at the other side of the bar
I haven't been in since Andy and Irene left, but may just have a look this summer now that there is no smoking, The pub has ot changed very much in forty years since they first knocked the walls down in the early 60s, before my time
