Before anyone says it, no I do not drive, I am 19 and cope with all my travelling needs on foot or public transport. I know many students who do have cars who use them way too much, and would probably save a lot of money using alternative methods, chances are every single car user on accy web makes a journey in their car every now and again that they could make via alternative ways.

In Lancaster, it has absolutely AMAZED me how many cyclists there are on the roads, such a huge contrast to accrington. People even use those attachable car things on the back of their bicycles so the babies can go too... also bike schemes in every school I have seen, where there are what can only be described as 'cycling buses' I guess!? Obviously there is still congestion like any other town or city, but it just goes to show that people are at least making it a more viable option.

I see now that I am ranting, so I will be quiet haha

I caught the bus last week from Altham to the hare and hounds in Clayton and it cost me £1.50, it is not cheap to use public transport, it isn't cheap to drive. We get screwed over on everything in this country
