Just to add to the Orwellian theme, it has been reported today that the government is taking steps to record and store for 12 months all phone calls and emails. I assume that they mean all phone calls and emails made and received in the UK.

In anticipation of such an event my email signature reads and has done for several years:-
“Oy! Copper, Spook, Echelon or anyone except the addressee! Why are you reading my mail? It wasn't sent to you and it's got nothing to do with you so go and play at spies somewhere else.

This email will self destruct in 5 seconds .... 4 .... 3 .... 2 .... 1 ....
Only kidding!!”
