I’m not falling out with you BERNADETTE, just pointing out that if Asda want me to advertise their store they should pay me to do so or at least not charge me for a carrier bag.
This latest ‘green’ move by the supermarkets is nothing more than a cynical exploitation of their customers.
They know that most of the free carrier bags that they supply are re-used as bin liners of one sort or another.
So we will now have to BUY bin liners (more profit for the supermarkets) and the supermarkets will make even more profit by SELLING us carrier bags for 5p each. And then to add insult to injury they get free advertising.
