I don't want to upset you, Blazey, but cutting out alcoholic drinks is a good way to help to lose weight.

There are far more calories in beer and wine than you might think.
Your best bet is to eat sensibly, go for plenty of fruit and veg, but don't give up everything you like eating - just eat it less often - and try to take a little bit more exercise. I'm not saying you don't exercise now but if, for instance, you walk a mile every day, walk 2 miles and walk a bit faster.
