Ask your GP for the results. Anyone can get an infection after an operation, the majority of post op infections are
not MRSA. When you sign consent for an operation you are normally told that infection can be one of the complications, along with bleeding, DVT and anaesthetic problems. Your GP will have access to the results. Infection or not, it can take 6 weeks to 12 months to feel normal after an op, depending on whether it was a major op or a minor one. Hope you start feeling better soon, but if you have had a major, it may be quite some time yet.
