Sorry to mention Spain...which some members take exception to but here goes.
There are five large containers at the collection point for rubbish along with two for paper and one for glass.
The large containers are emptied every day and the other ones when they are full.
All rubbish that is generated in the household is placed in a plastic bag, tied and disposed of every day into the large containers.
Non of the containers have ever been set fire to or vandalised as far as I am aware.
I too am an OAP, luckily I have got my health, but there is no problem.
You don't have the problem of someone stealing your bins or taking them out in the street....carry a plastic bag to your bin...dump it...gone.
There used to be a well known saying for the Army Medical which went, 'Breath on this glass, if it steams up your in'.
Could this be the criteria for getting a job on the bins in the UK?
