My Granddad had emphysema, its a nasty way to go. In his youth he was the Welsh Diving Champion, used to swim round Colwyn Bay every morning, PT instructor in the Army, swan some of the channel to get a boat for his men, when stuck at Dunkirk, but most of all use to be able to walk down stairs one is hands, when I was a young nipper, then it hit him, he quited smoking and started to decline.
