Had a good one at work the other day.

A elderley couple who have had insurance with LLoyds TBS for many, many years that long when they started it was under its old name.

Anyway there house insurance was due for renewal, they received there renewal notice via the post and like many people do they just presumed it was the best deal and went to the branch to pay it.

When they got to the branch there where advised that they couldnt renew it by cash payment as they didnt have a bank account with them.

How messed up is that a bank that cannot accept cash.

Wonder what the FSA would say about that? Treating the Customer Fairly I think not.

Luckly for them they came to see me, not only can we accept cash but I saved that a few quid also and gave them better extra cover.

Made me think though why could they not accept cash at the bank?
