I had a slight problem with my Firefox browser yesterday, Mozilla did an update and afterwards I found that all the sites in my bookmarks had disappeared.
Fortunately recovery as I discovered after a google isn't too difficult.
So in case any of you suffer anything similar below is an explanation that just might help:-
- Start Firefox
- Go to Bookmarks.
- Scroll down to Bookmark Manager and left click.
- Across the top of the page left click file.
- Left click import.
- This will give you a choice import from explorer or file, click on file.
- I would say this is the hardest part, you now need to find your way to, C:\Documents and Settings\<Your Windows Log on Name>\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\9m0emy8a.default\ bookmarkbackups
- There will (hopefully), be a list of backups date stamped, click on one of the recent ones from a date before your mishap and hopefully all should now be well.
I hope if you've had a problem this helps.
