disagree on that, yes they did have too much power, but Thatcher killed that by legislation that did away with "Wildcat" strikes n Secondary Picketing, which was no bad thing in real terms, strike action after had to be balloted on, which again was ok,its a subject very close to my heart n one i shall take with me to the grave.
