Of course the teacher is in the right... if you were supposed to be at your job at 09.40 but it was known you were down the cafe and your manager came to challenge you... would you question your manager or get the sack???
oh "and edit"..Jambutty!..you were in the Navy..would you stick up for your rights to turn up for duty whenever you felt like doing?.. I doubt it!
